FM’s of neighboring countries condemn bomb blast

Foreign Ministers of India, Sri Lanka and Singapore have condemned the detonation of an improvised explosive device at the Sultan Park on 29 September 2007. They expressed their condemnation at meetings held with Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid in New York.

Foreign Ministers stated that their countries would separate communiqués condemning the detonation and their willingness to help Maldives in anyway possible with regard to the explosion. They also expressed their support and cooperation to people and Government of Maldives.

Speaking with the Ministers, Mr. Shahid thanked on behalf of the People and Government of Maldives for the sincere feelings expressed and said the bomb blast was an act that shocked the entire nation. He also said encouragement and support received from friendly nations were valuable.

Majlis accepts presidential system

Speaker of the People's Special Majlis Gasim Ibrahim has announced that the people of the Maldives has decided to have a presidential system in the country according to the result of the referendum on 18 August 2007. Gasim declared so at the 176 meeting of the Special Majlis held last night after concluding the debate on the report of the 11 member committee.
The Report culminated in a heated debate from the earlier meetings at the meeting on Monday night and many members participated in the debate. During the meeting Speaker Gasim said he agreed with members that a vote many not be necessary to decide whether or not to accept the report. He also agreed with members that a vote may not be taken to decide wether the report is valid.
Speaking in the debate Ibrahim Shafiu Chief Spokesperson for DRP and Presidents Member said that 11 Member Committee faced the problems that occurred during the referendum in a responsible manner and that the Committee has discharged their duties fully. Presidents Member Shafiu also said that the fact that problems faced by the Committee were included in the Report proves the validity of the Report.

Speaking at last nights Meeting Lubna Mohamed Zahir Hussain, Member for Shaviani Atoll, said that Rules and Regulations pertaining to the Public Referendum does not state that Majlis has to ascertain the validity of the result of Referendum and the final result of the Referendum is valid. She also stated that the Commissioner of Elections on the day of Referendum was announcing the results coming from islands after 11 Member Committee had finalized them.

However Member for Laamu Atoll Mohamed Naeem says that on studying the Report it can be deduced that people involved in the Referendum process was full of deceit and cheat. He also said that Member of the Committee was bribed to sign the Report. Naeem further said the fact that President of the Majlis has issued contradictory Rulings with regard to the Referendum on various sittings of the Majlis proves the involvement of the government. In response Lubna Mohamed Zahir said that Moosa Nizar, Chairman of the 11 Member Committee signed the Report with the majority consensus of the Committee and what the President of the Special Majlis said was not true.

When the debate time was over President of the Majlis Qasim Ibrahim stated that results of the Referendum was valid and final and as such Maldives will follow a presidential system of government.

After the Ruling some members made loud noises were made some members and Ilyas Hussain Member for Alifu Dhaalu Atoll started banging on the table and made loud noise to show his disapproval.

Next Meeting of the Special Majlis is scheduled for tonight at 21.30 hours.

Latest News : Police reveals cctv footage of 2 explosion suspects

Maldives Police have revealed details and cctv footage of the two persons who carried out the explosion in Sultan Park on Saturday which injured 12 tourists. Police have informed at a special news conference held this afternoon that Moosa Inas,20, Finihiyaage, Laamu Kalhaidhoo and Ahmed Naseer,21, Saadhunaa Manzil, GA Kaduhulhudhoo, have confessed they carried out the attack. These two men were arrested from the airport of a neighbouring country on their arrival from Male.Mohamed Sabah, 19 from Male Viligili have also confessed taking part in the attack.

The footage showed Moosa Inas and Ahmed Naseer entering Sultan Park and leaving the place. The footage was taken ten minutes before the explosion . They were seen leaving the place just after the explosion. These details were given by Asst Commissioner of Police Abdullah Riyaz. Riyal did not give any information on the motives of the attack

Police are also looking for two more suspects and have requested assistance of the public to provide any information about them. They are Abdul Latheef Ibrahim Laamu Kalhaidoo and Ali Shameem Shaviyani Komandoo. 14 suspects including two blacksmiths have been arrested so far and Police are continuing a full investigation on the explosion. A team from FBI has already arrives to help the investigation.

Meanwhile the injured British honeymoon couple have left for Britain today by an air ambulance. They and the other tourists who were injured in the explosion said the government handled the situation very professionally. The British couple said they will return to Maldives.

President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom has condemned the attack immediately after the explosion. Political parties of the country and the People's Majlis have also condemned the attack while friendly countries have also joined in condemning and extending support to the government and people of Maldives.

Tour operators and travel agencies together with the Ministry of Tourism are working to recover any loss which may result from the explosion. But according to Tourism Minister Mahmood Shaugy, there are few cancellations and tourist resorts confirm most resorts are full during the start of the tourist peak season.

It is important to ensure a safe environment for younger generations

President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom says that it is important to work collaboratively to ensure that our habitat is a safe environment for younger generations. The President made this statement in his message on the occasion of World Habitat Day, which was marked yesterday. This is the first time that the Maldives marks World Habitat Day.

In his message, President Gayoom stated that problems associated with safety and security is a major challenge for urban and overcrowded nations. He highlighted the threat of natural disasters resulting from climate change to our islands, and stated that incidents created by humans can also threaten peace and safety in nations.

President further stated that the protection of our environment, especially in overcrowded urban areas such as Male’ and in the larger islands is the duty and responsibility of every citizen. In this regard, he highlighted the need for collaborative planning by the Government and citizens to achieve this objective.

Looking at the theme for this year’s World Habitat Day “A safe city is a just city” President stated that this theme denotes the importance of ensuring that every one of our inhabited islands are safe and that a safe habitat is one where love for justice and respect for rights are present.

Maldives marks the International Elderly Day

Maldives for the first time marks the Day of the Elderly with various colorful programs held across the country.

International Day for the Elderly is dedicated to honor, respect and care for the world's elderly. In 1990, the United Nations General Assembly designated October 1st as the International Day for the Elderly, also known as the "International Day for Older Persons".

Aishath Mohamed Didi, Minister of Gender and Family addressed the nation on the occasion of the day. In her address she noted while each and every one of us hopes to be in that age group some day, the dignity, respect, safety and security of each and everyone reaching the age group must be assured.

This assurance can only achieved by giving proper care, respect and honor today’s elderly.


Various activities were held in atolls and Male’ to mark the day. The activities were organized by Family and Children Service Centers, island offices and the Committees working for advancement of women.

According to the United Nations, "one of every 10 persons is now 60 years or older. By the year 2050, one of five will be 60 years or older; by 2150, it will be one of three persons".

11 arrested in the bomb blast

Maldives Police Services has revealed that so far 11 people have been arrested in connection to the sultan park explosion of 29 September 2007.

Briefing the press on the developments, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Abdulla Riyaz said that among the arrested are 9 Maldivian and two foreigners. He said this includes a youth of less than 18 years of age.

Officer Riyaz said “3 of these arrested were taken in to custody from a foreign country while attempting to flee from that country and one arrested at Male’ International Airport attempting to flee”. He did not provide the name of the country where the arrests were made.

FBI is now assisting Maldives Police in the investigation of the blast. In this regard 2 FBI officers stationed Sri Lanka arrived Male’ yesterday morning and are actively engaged in the investigations.

Officer Riyaz also said that Police investigation have identified the people involved in the blast; the interrogations has revealed the amount of involvement of those arrested and that those arrested have confessed. He also said that there are others who needs to be questioned in connection to the blast.

Home Minister Kamaaluhdheen has said that this device detonated at Sultan Park was made using 2 butane cylinders, a timer from a washing machine and mobile phone. Home Minister addressing the Citizens Majlis yesterday said that the person who called the mobile phone to activate the explosion has been identified. The sim card found in the mobile phone used to activate the detonation provided the information and police are searching for others who have contacted that sim. He further said that arrests are made according to certain principles and that others who are involved in the blast are being identified through the arrested people. Home Minister Kamaaluhdheen said at this juncture“instead of pointing the finger at a certain group the whole nation should stand united’.

Due to the blast of 29 September 12 tourists were injured. The most serious injuries were inflicted on a British couple, who came to spend their honeymoon in Male’. The injured British couple has been named as Christian Donelan, originally from Rotherham, and his wife Jennifer, whose maiden name is Green. They will soon be airlifted to UK for further treatment.
Mr and Mrs Donelan, aged 36 and 31, may need skin grafts after suffering burns in the blast, Dr. Shaugee said reports BBC.
Mr Donelan suffered 27 per cent burns to his lower body and limbs while his wife has 40 per cent burns to her face, hands and lower body, reports BBC.

BBC reports Dr. Mahmoud Shaugy Tourism Minister as saying that amoung those arrested include 2 Bangladeshi nationals but did not provide details.

Whole nation should unite behind the investigation of Bomb Blast - Kamaaluhdheen

Home Minister Abdulla Kamaaludhin speaking at the Citizens Majlis held yesterday has said, rather than pointing the finger at a certain group, the whole nation should remain united in the investigations of the blast of September 20.He made the statement speaking at the debate time opened under the urgent motion tabled by Member for Dhaalu Atoll Ahamed Nashid ,relating to bomb blast at Sultan Park.

Minister Kamaaluhdheen said a total of 10 have been arrested and that youths between 17 to 18 years of age are among them and that 2 are foreigners. He also said that a mobile phone and washing machine motor attached to a butane gas cylinder triggered the bomb and that the person who called the mobile to trigger the explosion has been identified and that the police are searching for others who has contacted the mobile phone.

Member for Dhaalu Atoll, Nashid who tabled the urgent motion said due to this incident many tourists received physical and psychological losses and that news of this incident has been picked up by world media. He noted that this may have severe ramifications on the Maldives tourist industry. Member Nashid also noted that the incident occurred at a time when the industry was been further enhanced with the inclusion of 35 more islands that are currently under development.

Male’ Member Ibrahim Ismail, Ibra, also spoke on the matter. He said finger pointing and blaming certain groups can only be done after full investigation and that this incident had affected the citizen’s sense of security. He said “this is not a stand alone incident, this is not an incident related to politics, I have reported 6 explosions near my house to the authorities next may be the 7 time”.

Member of Parliament for Addu Atoll Mohamed Shareef said that this sort of explosions have been going on for some time and more frequent when party official visit atolls.

Kolhumadulu Member Hassan Afeef said that due to weak justice system, innocent people are being blamed instead those who commit crimes. He also called for foreign expert assistance in the ongoing investigations.

Mulaku Atoll Member Nazim said that since the criminals do not get a fair punishment, the crimes are being committed wholeheartedly.

When the discussions time allocated for the urgent motion passed 22 members were waiting in queue to speak.
Next on the agenda was approving of the minutes of 4 previous meetings. They were from 38/2007 to 41/2007. The minutes were passed without any comment from members.

Next agenda item was the first hearing of the Bill on Pensions. Second hearing this bill is scheduled for 17 October 2007. Second hearing of the Bill on Registration and Publishing newspapers was next on the agenda.

Meeting was adjourned due loss of quorum at 12:09. A minimum of 26 Members are required to hold a Meeting of the Citizens Majlis in accordance with its Standing Orders.

Yesterdays Meeting was attended by 41 Members and was chaired Speaker of the Majlis Ahmed Zahir.

Next Meeting of the Majlis is scheduled for Tuesday 2 October.

Conference on Male’ Declaration begins

The opening ceremony of Ninth Inter Governmental Meeting on Male’ Declaration on Control and Prevention of Its Likely Trans boundary Effect for South Asia and the 4th Stake holders Meeting was held at Dharubaaruge yesterday afternoon. Male’ Declaration is an agreement which calls for the reduction of pollution in the atmosphere and to minimize the problems caused by the effects of Trans boundary pollution. In addition to Maldives, Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and Iran are all signatories to this declaration. The declaration was signed in Male’ in year 1998.

Speaking at the ceremony Minister of Environment, Energy and Water Ahmed Abdulla said that Maldives is one of the countries which emit least amount of pollutants to the atmosphere.

However the impact of emissions from other countries in the region is felt greatly. In this regard he noted according to a survey conducted under the name Indian Ocean Experiments, 10 million square kilometers of our atmosphere is polluted. He expressed concern over the ill effects this has on our health and says that this Declaration is an important step forward to curb such pollution. Highlighting on the successes of the declaration he called for more cooperation in human resource development.

Minister Abdulla also said Maldives will host a conference with small island nations to discuss climatic changes and to study and identify common issues and problems. During this meeting discussions will also be held on steps that may taken to counter measure such problems.

In closing his address , Minister thanked the UNEP, Stockholm Environment Institute and Sweden International Cooperation Development Agency for their support and assistance.

The meeting will be continued in Bandos Island Resort from 2 – 3 October.

އަފީފްވެސް ވިދާޅުވީ ތަހުގީގަކާ ނުލާ ރައީސް މައުމޫން ވަނީ ވަކިބައެއްގެ ބޮލުގައި އެއިލްޒާމް އަޅުވާފައި ކަމަށާއި ބޭރުގެ އެކްސްޕާޓުން ގެނެސްގެން ތަހުގީގް ކުރަންވީ ކަމަށެވެ

ވާހަކަދެއްކެވި ހުރިހާ މެމްބަރުންވެސް އެކަން ކުށްވެރި ކުރައްވާ ވާހަކަދައްކަވާފައިވެ އެވެ. ރ އަތޮޅު މެންބަރ އިބްރާހީމް ޝަހީދު ޒަކީ ވިދާޅުވީ ކޮންމެ ބަޔަކު ކުރިކަމުގައިވިއަސް މިއީ ވަރަށް ހަޑިމުޑުދާރު ގޮތްކުޑަ ޢަމަލެއް ކަމަށެވެ. ފަތުރުވެރިންނަށް އަމާޒުކޮށްގެން އިޤްތިސާދު ފުނޑުފުނޑުކޮށްލާ ދިވެހިންގެ ދިރިއުޅުން ބަރުބާދުކޮށްލަންދިން ލައިންސާނީ ޢަމަލެއް ކަމުގައެވެ

އެމީހުންނާ މެދު ޤާނޫނީގޮތުން އެންމެ ހަރުކަށި ފިޔަވަޅު އަޅަން ޖެހޭނެކަމަށް ވިދާޅުވަމުން ޝަހީދު ޒަކީ ވިދާޅުވީ މީގެ 20 އަހަރުކުރިންވެސް މިފަދަ ޓެރަރިސްޓް ހަމަލާ ދިން މީހުން އެފަދަ ކަމެއް ތަކުރާރު ކުރެވޭ ހާލަތުގައި މިހާރުވެސް ދޫކޮށްލާފައި އެބަތިބި ކަމަށާއި ރާއްޖެ މިވަނީ އަދްލު އިންސާފް ޤާބިލް ކުރުމުގެ ނާޤާބިލް ހާލަތެއްގައި ކަމަށެވެ. އަދި އެއީ ސަރުކާރުން ޖަވާބު ދާރީ ވާން ޖެހޭނެ ކަމެއްކަމަށް އޭނާ ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ

ޏ އަތޮޅު މެންބަރ މުހައްމަދު އިބްރާހީމް ދީދީ ވިދާޅުވީ މިއީ އިއްޔެއަކު މިއަދަކު ހިނގި ކަމެއް ނޫން ކަމަށާއި މިކަން ކުރިމަތިވީ ޤާނޫން ތަންފީޒް ކުރުން ދޯދިޔާ ވީމާ ކަމަށެވެ. ކުށްކުރާ މީހުން ދޫކޮށްލެވެނީ ކަމަށާއި މާލިއްޔަތުން ހޭދަކޮށްގެން ބަލަން ހަވާލުކޮށްފައި ތިބި މީހުންނަކަށް އެކަމެއް ނުކުރެވޭ ކަމަށެވެ. މޮޑީ ވިދާޅުވީ ސަރުކާރަށް މިކަން ހައްލު ނުކުރެވެންޏާ އަދި ފިޔަވަޅު އަޅަން ނުކެރެންޏާ އަމިއްލައަށް ވިސްނާ, އެންމެން ޝާމިލްވާ ހުރި މީހުންގެ އެއްބައިވަންތަ ސަރުކާރެއް ޤާއިމް ކުރުމަށް ގޮވާލާ ކަމަށެވެ

ސަލްޓަން ޕާކުގައި ދިން ޓެރަރިސްޓް ހަމަލައިގެ ތަހުގީގުގައި ބައެއް މީހުން އެއްބަސް ވެއްޖެ

މިދިޔަ ހޮނިހިރު ދުވަހު ސަލްޓަންޕާކުގައި ފަތުރުވެރިންނަށް އަމާޒުކޮށްގެން ދިން ޓެރަރިސްޓް ހަމަލާ ތަހްގީގު ކުރުމަށްޓަކާ އެމެރިކާގެ ފެޑެރަލް ބިއުރޯ އޮފް އިންވެސްޓިގޭޝަން (އެފްބީއައި) ގެ ޓީމެއް ރައްޖާގައި ހަރަކާތްތެރިވާން ފަށައިފިކަމަށާއި ހައްޔަރުކޮށްފައިވާ ބައެއް މީހުން އެ ހަމަލަދިނުމުގައި ބައިވެރިވެފައިވާކަމަށް ތަހުގީގުގައި އެއްބަސްވެފައިވާ ކަމަށް މޯލްޑިވްސް ޕޮލިސް ސަރވިސް އިން މިއަދު ބުނެފި އެވެ

ނޫސްކޮންފަރެންސެއްގައި ވާހަކަ ދައްކަވަމުން އެސިސްޓެންޓް ކޮމިޝަނަރ އޮފް ޕޮލިސް އަބުދުﷲ ރިޔާޒު ވިދާޅުވީ މި މައްސަލަ ބެލުމުގައި ހަރަކާތްތެރިވަނީ އިންޑިޔާގެ ވެރިރަށް ނިއުދިއްލީގައި ހަރަކާތްތެރިވާ އެފްބީއައި ގެ ދެ ތަޖްރިބާކާރުން ކަމަށެވެ

” އެމީހުން ރާއްޖެއައީ ރޭގައި. ދެންމެއަކު ވަނީ އަޅުގަނޑުމެންނާ އެކު މަސައްކަތް ފަށާފައި. އަޅުގަނޑުމެންނަށް ބޭނުންވާ އެހީތެރިކަން އެމީހުން ފޯރުކޮށްދޭނެ.“ މެންދުރު 03;2 މައިމަރުކަޒުގައި ބޭއްވި ނޫސްކޮންފަރެންސްގައި ވާހަކަ ދައްކަވަމުން ރިޔާޒު ވިދާޅުވި އެވެ

ރިޔާޒު ވިދާޅުވީ މިމައްސަލައާ ގުޅިގެން 11 މީހަކު ހައްޔަރު ކުރެވިފައިވާކަމަށާއި އޭގެ ތެރެއިން 3 މީހަކު ހައްޔަރުކޮށްފައި ވަނީ ބޭރުގައުމަކަށް ފުރައިގެން ގޮސްފައި ވަނިކޮށް އެގައުމުގެ އެއަރޕޯޓުން ކަމަށެވެ. ވޭތުވެ ދިޔަ 24 ގަޑިއިރު ތެރޭގައި ހައްޔަރު ކުރި 4 މީހުންގެ ތެރެއިން އެކަކު ފުލުހުންގެ ބެލުމުގެ ދަށަށް ގެނެސްފައި ވަނީ ރާއްޖެއިން ބޭރަށް ފުރަން އެއަރޕޯޓަށް ގޮސް ހުއްޓައެވެ

” ތަހްގީގަށް ބަންދު ކުރި މީހުންގެ ތެރެއިން ބައެއް މީހުން ވަނީ އެމީހުން މިކަމުގައި ބައިވެރިވިމިންވަރު ކިޔާދެން ފަށާފައި. “ ރިޔާޒު ވިދާޅުވި އެވެ

ޓެރެރިޒަމް ހަމަލާދިނުމަށް ބޭނުންކުރި މޮބައިލް ފޯނުގެ ސިމުންކޮށްފައިވާ މުއާމަލާތްތައް ހޯދައިފައިވާ ކަމަށް މިނިސްޓަރ އޮފް ހޯމް އެފެއާޒް އަބްދުﷲ ކަމާލުއްދީންވެސް މިއަދު ވަނީ ވިދާޅުވެފަ އެވެ

މިދިޔަ ހޮނިހިރު ދުވަހު ދިން ޓެރެރިޒަމް ހަމަލައާ ގުޅިގެން ދ. އަތޮޅު މެންބަރު އަހްމަދު ނާޝިދު މިއަދު އޮތް މަޖލިސްގެ ޖަލްސާ އަށް ހުށަހެޅުއްވި ކުއްލި މައްސަލައިގެ ބަހުސްގެ ވަގުތުގައި, ވާހަކަފުޅު ދައްކަވަމުން ކަމާލުއްދީން ވިދާޅުވީ ހަމަލަދިނުމަށް ބޭނުންކޮށްފައިވާ ފޯނުގެ ވެރިފަރާތާއި އެ ފޯނުން އެންމެ ފަހުން ގުޅާފައިވާ މީހުންނާއި އެ ފޯނަށް ލިބިފައިވާ ކޯލްތަކާ ބެހޭ މައުލޫމާތު މިހާރު ހޯދިފައިވާ ކަމަށެވެ

މަޖިލީހުގައި އިތުރަށް ވާހަކަ ދައްކަވަމުން ހޯމް މިނިސްޓަރު ވިދާޅުވީ ހަމަލާ ދިނުމަށް ބޭނުންކޮށްފައިވަނީ, މޯބައިލް ފޯނަކާއި ދޮންނަ މެޝިނެއްގެ ޓައިމަރަކާއި ދެ ގޭސްފުޅި (ބިއުޓޭން ގޭސް / ލައިޓަރަށް އަޅަން ބޭނުންކުރާ ވައްތަރުގެ) ކަމަށެވެ

ބާރަ ފަތުރުވެރިންނަށް ތަފާތު އެކިވަރުގެ ޒަހަމްތައް ލިބުނު ހަމަލާގެ މައްސަލާގައި މިހާތަނަށް 10 މީހުން ހައްޔަރުކޮށްފައިވާ ކަމަށާއި އޭގެ ތެރޭގައި ދެ ބިދޭސީއަކާއި އުމުރުން 18 އަހަރުނުފުރޭ ކުދިން ހިމެނޭ ކަމަށް ވެސް ހޯމް މިނިސްޓަރު ވިދާޅުވި އެވެ

ޓެލެވިޜަން މޯލްޑިވްސް އިން ރޭ އިރާކޮޅު ގެނެސްދިން ކުއްލި ޚަބަރެއްގައި ބުނެފައިވަނީ ހައްޔަރުކުރެވުނު ދެ ބިދޭސީންނަކީ ބަންގްލަދޭޝްގެ ދެ މީހުން ކަމަށެވެ. ޓީވީގެ އޮފިޝަލަކު މިއަދު ވިދާޅުވީ, ޓީވީ އަށް އެ މައުލޫމާތު ދެއްވީ ސަރުކާރުގެ އިތުބާރު ހިފޭ ރަސްމީ ފަރާތަކުން ކަމަށެވެ. އެހެން ނަމަވެސް ފުލުހުން ވަނީ މިފަދަ އެއްވެސް މައުލޫމާތެއް އެފަރާތުން ދީފައިނުވާނެކަމަށް ބުނެފަ އެވެ

ނޫސްވެރިންގެ ބައްދަލުވުމެއްގައި އިއްޔެ ވާހަކަ ދައްކަވަމުން އެސިސްޓެންޓް ކޮމިޝަނަރ ޕޮލިސް އަބުދުﷲ ރިޔާޒު ވިދާޅުވީ މިމައްސަލާގައި މިހާތަނަށް ހައްޔަރުކޮށްފައިވަނީ ފިރިހެނުން ކަމަށެވެ. އަދި ބޭރުގެ އެއްވެސް ޖަމާއަތަކާ މި މައްސަލައާ ގުޅުން ހުރިކަމުގެ މައުލޫމާތު މިހާތަނަށް ފުލުހުންނަށް ލިބިފައިނުވާ ކަމަށް ވެސް އޭނާ ވިދާޅުވި އެވެ

ރިޔާޒު ވިދާޅުވީ ރާއްޖޭގެ ޓޫރިޒަމުގެ 35 އަހަރުގެ ތާރީހުގައި ގިނަ އަދަދެއްގެ ފަތުރުވެރިންތަކެއް ޒަހަމްވި ހަމަލާދިން މައްސަލައާ ގުޅިގެން އަދި ވެސް އިތުރު މީހުން ހޯދައި ހައްޔަރުކުރުމުގެ މަސައްކަތް ކުރަމުންދާ ކަމަށެވެ

މިހާތަނަށް ހައްޔަރުކުރެވުނު މީހުންގެ ތެރެއިން ބައެއް މީހުން ހައްޔަރުކުރެވުނީ, ގަވާއިދާ ޚިލާފަށް ފިލައިގެން ރާއްޖޭން ބޭރަށް ދާން އުޅެނިކޮށް ހުޅުލޭ އެއާޕޯޓުން ކަމަށް އެސޯސިއޭޓެޑް ޕްރެސް އަށް ދެއްވި އިންޓަވިއުއެއްގައި ސަރުކާރުގެ އިސް ތަރުޖަމާނު މުހައްމަދު ހުސައިން ޝަރީފް ވަނީ ވިދާޅުވެފަ އެވެ
