All the teams have started their Practices.

As per our correspondent that all the teams have started their practices on 15 th july2007.
All the players are coming from all over the Maldives to attend the velidhoo vyds soccer cup 2007. As per Mr. Khalidh ( kk sports ) vice president, their team also is doing their practices. and the two who they are coming to join their team will arrive in 18th of july 2007.
As per Still red one of their player is coming on 18 th july 2007 tuesday via Palm Beach Resorts & Spa.

Yaaraa team........

As per our correspondent Mr. Ibrahim Yaaraa team is performing unexpectedly in Noonu velidhoo. As per him a person call abdhu who, he is a friend, of Mr. Azey ( Rismy's husband ) also dancing in Noonu Velidhoo stage tonight. He is the founder member of X & Y dance group. When they begins the show, they told the community that they need velidhoo youth to participate with them. Because the fun, the courages are having by them. Including Yaaraa team. except the founder member of Yaaraa, all the others are young teens.

As per our correspondent yaaraa team is performing in velidhoo was, one of the velidhoo football club called Huffman have participated in Zone champions league and they have won the champions in between Noonu atoll and Shaviyani atoll.

And also Huffman went to male' to participate the Zone champions hip. Their sponsor was Dhivehi Rayyinthunge party (DRP). therefore the show was organized by DRP.

Vyds soccer cup 2007

Velidhoo Youth Development Society ( vyds ) soccer is staring on 22nd of July 2007. As per the velidhoo office, there are two teams plus two clubs. Total four teams have send their letter of participating. We the community of Velidhoo, hope that the soccer cup 2007 also will go as smooth as last year. Because we are 100% muslims so we have to obey the rules of our Prophet.

I hope you all will enjoy giving hope.

Whimsy

As per our news correspondent Mr. Ibrahim, WHIMSY SPORT also has started their practices from the beginning of this July 2007. Whimsy sports also participating in vyds soccer cup this year 2007.

As per players of Whimsy, Mr. Adam Hassan, Mr. Mohamed Hassan/ dhooresge, noonu velidhoo also will play for whimsy sports.

Mr. Mohamed hassan said that. he was not happy in Kuri Sports club last season.

Hialie Sport Club Has Started their trainig & practices

Hialie Sports Club former midfielder, Mr. Thoha Abdul Azeez ( Maldini ) said that they have started their training & practices.


As per Mr. Maldini, at the present there are around six players, who are in the island and going for the practices.


Mr. Maldini said that, Hialie sports club's many players are working in Lhaviyani atoll Resorts, like Kuredoo, Komando, Kanuhura & in Palm Beach Resort & Spa.


As per Mr. Maldini, said that now their full team Goalkeeper Mr. Musthafa also joined the team last friday, and he is also participating the practices.


Mr. Maldini said that, they are going to bring three more players for the upcoming vyds soccer cup 2007 from the nearby atolls and islands.

Noonu Atoll Velidhoo Informations

The origin of the first settlers of the Velidhu Island still remains a mystery. The historians date early settlers back to 5 th century BC with the Aryan immigrants coming from neighboring countries India and Srilanka. According to early settlers the Veliduans we found today mix up of people from the near two islands in the atoll. The Magoodhoo and Tholhendhoo Island and today Velidhu is found as the island with highest population count within the atoll. The Veliduans language is Dhivehi .

The island has a lot of historic monuments too and one of them is the presence of a tree ( velidhu bodu nikagas ), a tree which has been there fore more than 5 centuries recorded. The island is said to be one of the greatest fishing area in the Maldives , Specially the Noonu Atoll within the atoll.

Much of the history of Velidhu is yet unknown this is due to the slow civilization process and is unstable. but research and studies are being done and on going to find the mysteries hidden. this is one of the reason why this web site has been launched .
