John Gates was welcomed by Assistant Commissioner of Police Abdullah Riyaz, Chief Inspector Hassan Atheesh, Retired Superintendent of Scottish Police who is helping in the Police front line John Bissete and senior Police officers.
According to Maldives Police John Gates will visit Home Minister and Commissioner of Police Adam Zahir and would hold discussions on how regarding Scottish Police could assist Maldives Police. He is also expected to visit Alif Dhaalu atoll Mahibadhoo to see work of Police going on in atolls.
Head Chief Superintendent of Training and Educational standards of Scottish Police, Bruce Millness accompanied John Gates in his 5 day visit.
