Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFCO) has introduced 180 gram size of “Garudhiya” cans to the market.
According to MIFCO the company last year introduced 1.7 kilograms of Garudhiya cans to the market. The product was well received by the general public.
MIFCO revealed the main purpose of introducing the small size cans is to provide easy access to the product for Maldivians living abroad.
MIFCO revealed that the small size can is sold at Rf.8.00.
MIFCO previously introduced 2 types of canned Garudhiya. One type consists of fish soup, Garudhiya, plus 400 gram fish while the other consists of fish soup, Garudhiya and 400 gram fish plus a fish head. These cans were made at Felivaru Fisheries Complex of MIFCO and are prepared in the same style and taste as one prepared in a Maldivian Kitchen. Each tin can serve 4 to 6 people.
MIFCO says that this new product was made with today’s new generation in mind, hopes this product would suit their busy life styles.
