All Maldives would be covered by end 2008 - Dhiraagu

Dhiraagu, the national telecom service provider has revealed that the company would be able to provide mobile telephone services to the entire Maldives. This was revealed last Wednesday at the ceremony held to inaugurate internet Wi-Fi connection to Male’ International Airport.

Speaking at the ceremony, the company’s Marketing Manger Ahmed Maumoon said that a large part of the country is already covered and expressed his confidence that the company would be able to cover entire Maldives soon.

Dhiraagu, in order to provide affordable services to its customers has been introducing a lot of promotional offers. According to a survey done by Miadhu the most popular promotional offer was the offer of “unlimited free calls’. Dhiraagu has revealed that with the introduction of the unlimited free calls offer, customers using Dhiraagu post paid services has doubled. Dhiraagu last December introduced promotional packages of its broadband service. According to the company the packages would enable the user to get broadband services at high speeds at affordable prices.

At the ceremony held last Wednesday to inaugurate internet Wi Fi connection to Male’ International Airport, Dhiraagu has revealed that introduction of the WI Fi service to the airport was a huge success. Maumoon said it just an example of the successes being achieved by the company.
