No decision on providing bus service - Ministry

Education Ministry has revealed that no decision has been reached as yet on the issue of providing bus service to the students of Qazee School of Hulhumale’.

Director General of Ministry of Education Mohamed Saeed told Miadhu that due to unavailability of the bus service to the students many parents have expressed their frustrations.

“No decision has been reached on the issue as yet, discussions are being held on the issue” said Mohamed Saeed.

A parent of a student of Qazee school, who wishes to remain anonymous told Miadhu that as the Qazee School is located away from the area where people live,they are facing difficulties and that the parents are not too happy to allow to participate in extra curricular activities. Further the anonymous parent told that the ministry has not informed anything on providing the bus service.

“School is located very far away, parents has expressed their frustration on the non availability of the bus service, while many of the extra curricular activities are held during evening hours, we parents are not too keen to send our children” said a parent.

Students of Fareedhiyya School were transferred to Qazee School by the Education Ministry in order to upgrade Fareedhiyya to an international school. Even though the students were changed to a new school no change was brought to the management said a parent.
