Lanka to provide assistance in Drug rehabilitation

Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Rohitha Bogollama has said that Sri Lanka would provide assistance to Maldives Drug Rehabilitation Program. He made the statement during the meeting held with Maldivian Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid yesterday in Colombo.

At the meeting discussions were held on determining areas where such assistance can be provided and especially on training of personnel in the rehabilitation centers.

The meeting held at the official residence of Rohitha Bogollama discussions was also held on improving and strengthening the existing bilateral relations between the two countries. Further discussions were also held on improving and further developing trade between the two countries.

Minister Shahid at the meeting thanked the Sri Lankan Foreign Minister for the support and assistance given to Maldivian families residing in Sri Lanka.
Foreign Minister Shahid is scheduled to conclude his official visit to Sri Lanka on the 6 of January. Minister Shahid called on the Sri Lankan President Rajapaksa yesterday.
