Docs unable to write prescriptions cannot be believed - Mundhu

Presidential Spokesperson Mohamed Hussain Shareef (Mundhu) has said that advice of doctors who are incapable of writing a prescription should be believed. Mundhu made the statement in a special interview granted to Miadhu.

He told Miadhu that people would not be taken in by the opposition attempts to discredit President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom.

“None of the PHD’s has made it clear that they want to bring about a democracy here” said Mundhu. Mundhu claimed that those opposition members who are attempting to discredit President Gayoom are mere children and not “politically mature”. He claimed that their attempts would only prove their incompetence and worthlessness.

He further said the forming of the Alliance by Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) with some other political parties and some NGO and unknown organizations only proves that Alliance is not capable winning any election against the President.

Mundhu further noted that only the people can dismiss a President they have elected.

“I am challenging Dr. Shaheed to be truthful about the support received from the north, only 20 or 30 people are attending their meetings” said Mundhu.

He claimed that some parties are using MDP philosophy and the there is no reason to believe that MDP has won any medals.
