Representative of the House of Lords as well as the Chairman of the Maldives British All Party Parlimentary Delegation Lord Naseby has met with the Speaker of the People’s Parliament Ahmed Zahir yesterday.
During the meeting held at Parliament House Lord Naseby obtained information on the affairs of the Maldivian parliament and wished good luck and success in implementing a modern democracy to the country.
In response Speaker Ahmed Zahir thanked Lord Naseby for continued interest in the development of Maldives. Further the Speaker also thanked Lord Naseby for visiting Maldives and visiting the Parliament.
Speaker of the Special Majlis Qasim Ibrahim also met with Lord Naseby yesterday. During the meeting Lord Naseby obtained information on the constitutional reform process as well as the tsunami reconstruction program.
