Milan Weekly presents special issue to President

Nepal’s Milan Weekly newspaper has presented to the President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom their special issues on the 13th SAARC summit held in Dhaka in 2005 and the 14th SAARC summit held in New Delhi in 2007.

The presentation was made during a call on the President by Mrs. Rekha Bhandari, the current Editor and widow of Milan Weekly’s former Editor, Yadunandan Bhandari.]

During the meeting, Bhandari briefed the President on the contents of the special issue including the profiles of the seven member countries. She noted that the key features in the supplement include the Addresses of the seven leaders and important agenda issues and agreements during the Summit.

The President expressed appreciation for the compilation of the two books and thanked Bhandari for the valuable work.

The call was attended by the Minister for Presidential affairs, Mr. Mohamed Hussain, Deputy Minister at the President’s Office, Dr. Hala Hameed, and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ms. Dhunya Maumoon.
