New academic year commenced this morning

The academic new years will begin today. According to Ministry of Education all necessary arrangements are in place for the commencement of the new academic new year. Ministry also reveals that teachers have been sought as well.

Ministry of Education informs that although many schools made the preparations for the commencement of the new academic year well in advance some schools may not commence teaching today. Ministry informs that these schools would however engage themselves with the checking of text books and issuance of time tables and allocations of classes would go on. Ministry also revealed that all schools will commence teaching by the end of the week.

Education Ministry also informed that while 93% of teachers needed for schools in Male’ has been brought 82% required for the atolls are in place. Ministry revealed that primary teachers are still required and that teachers for Physical Education and Music are still needed. Schools would continue with temporary teachers until permanent teachers are positioned says Education Ministry. Further Ministry informs all necessary teachers would be in place by the end of January.

Ministry informs that this year schools would have only 2 terms.
