President congratulates Addu Sports

President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom last night attended a function held to celebrate the victory of Addu Sports Club for their numerous successes in volley ball during the past two years and to celebrate Nizar Ibrahim’s victory for winning the Haveeru Maldivian Volleyballer award for four years.

President Gayoom was greeted at Lemongrass Restaurant by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Waheeddeen, Founder member of Addu Sports Club, Ali Latheef and the General Secretary of the Volley Ball Association, Mohamed Shafee. The President was also greeted by Coach Sayid Ali, Volley Team Head Coach Ahmed Saleem, Assistant Coach Ibrahim Rasheed and other senior members of the Club.

Addu Sports Club has won the Zone Championship, Male’ League Championship and National Championship in the past two years.

President Gayoom congratulated the management and members of the club for their numerous victories in volley ball over the past two years. He also congratulated Nizar Ibrahim for his victory.
