The committee compiled to over see employment related cases in resorts has started their work last month, Tourism Minister Dr. Mahmood Shaugee has said.
Minister Shaugee said this in response to a question posed by Miadhu Daily about the matter.
Dr. Shaugee said that this committee consists of 2 officials from the Employment Ministry and 3 officials from Tourism Ministry.
According to Tourism Minister, 3 meetings have been held so far and those 3 meetings were a success. Most discussed in these meetings were about the reason why more foreigners are employed in resorts and also about the committee itself visiting resorts at times of need after checking the inspection reports, Dr. Shaugee said.
Tourism Minister, Dr. Shaugee said that he hopes that good outcome would be seen as officials from Employment Ministry and Tourism Ministry are working together.
