Island Aviation Services Limited (IAS) has said that there already is a huge demand for the regional flights they are going to start on the 25th of this month.
Assistant Director of IAS, Ismail Sujau said that there already is a huge demand for the 2nd flight of IAS scheduled for the 26th of this month although the first flight is a flight of charity.
“Bookings are being made from atolls as well as from Trivandrum. There is a huge demand” Ismail Sujau said.
Earlier, Bandhu Saleem has said that the first regional flight of IAS would be operated on the 25th of this month at 3:30 from Male’ to Trivandrum and they would operate one flight per day. IAS say that flights from male’ to Trivandrum would be operated every day at this time and those who traveling from regional airports and those who coming from Trivadrum to regional airports will only travel to the destination after landing in Male’. But IAS say that the flight would wait in Male’ for a short while.
IAS flights started to fly when Air Maldives went bankrupt in year 2000.
