Interpol issues Red Notice for 10 terror suspects in Pak

Interpol, International Police Organization, have issued Red Notice, arrest warrant, for the 10 fugitives wanted in the Sultan Park explosion of September 29 of 2007. The wanted 10 men are confirmed to be in Pakistan.

Speaking to Velidhoo News, Assistance Commissioner of Police Abdulla Riyaz said the Red Notice by Interpol to arrest to 10 men was issued on last Thursday. He said the order to arrest the 10 fugitives was issued by the Civil Court last Thursday afternoon and Interpol issued the warrant for the arrest of the 10 the same day at the request of Maldives Police.

“Interpol has issued Red Notice to all member countries, so far no progress has been made on the search of these men” said Assistant Commissioner speaking to
Velidhoo Newsyesterday afternoon.

The 10 fugitives who are in Pakistan are Hassan Yousuf age 26 of Mirusmaage / L.Kalhaidhoo, Mohamed Amin age 23 of Kariyaage / Maathadu / Fuvahmulak, Hassan Riyaz age 21 of Dazy Villa / Haa Dhaalu Nehlhaidhoo, Mohamed Iqbal age 38 of M. Naseemee Villa / Male’, Mohamed Imadh age 27 of Amaaz / B. Dharavandhoo , Ibrahim Maslamath age 31 of Ma.Gold Ring / Male’, Hussain Shimadh age 25/ B. Dharavandhoo Moosa Manik age 20 of Harudhulaage / S. Hithadhoo, Abdul Latheef Ibrahim age 24 of L.Kalaidhoo and Ali Shameem age 25 of Sh. Komandoo

Speaking to media last Wednesday Police have confirmed that all of the 10 men are now in Pakistan.
Attorney General’s last Thursday revealed that they initiated court proceedings against 5 of the 16 arrested on the fifth of this month. A minor involved with the explosion have handed over to juvenile court.
