No reason for delay in registration of MSLP – Ibra

Ibrahim Ismail MP for Male’ and the leader of the Maldivian Social Liberal Party, MSLP has said that he does not understand delay in the registration of his party. He noted that it has been 20 days since he submitted the necessary documentation to the Registrar’s Office.

Speaking to Velidhoo News, Ibrahim Ismail,Ibra,said all necessary documentation as per relevant regulations have been submitted to Registrar’s Office.

“I don’t understand the delay in registration, there is no reason for the delay, I am waiting for their response, I can only make a comment after their response, I have submitted everything as per the regulations” said Ibra.

Leader of MSLP Ibrahim Ismail said that all necessary documentations were submitted to the Office of Registrar for Political Parties on the 18 of September 2007. He further said that he believed there will be no more revisions to make.

In an interview given to Velidhoo News, Ibra, at the request of the Registrar the documentation was revised four or five times and that he believed further amendments will not be required.

Ibra has told Velidhoo News that he will compete in the presidential elections of 2008. Ibra said that he will be joining the presidential race once his party gets registered.

According to Ibra his party will work with an agenda that will be acceptable and beneficial to the people. He said his aim is not to increase party membership but to establish a system which would be beneficial to all people.
