Mohamed Nasheed and Mohamed Anil have taken their oaths of office before the President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom as members of the People’s Special Majlis.
The swearing-in ceremony was held yesterday morning at the President’s Office. The oath was administered by the chief justice, Mohamed Rasheed Ibrahim.
President of the People’s Majlis, Gasim Ibrahim, Minister for President Affairs Mohamed Hussain and Secretary General of the Peoples Majlis, Ahmed Mohamed, attended the ceremony.
Mohamed Nasheed was sworn-in as the member of the People’s Special Majlis, following his appointment to the new portfolio as Minister of Legal Reform, Information and Arts.
Mohamed Anil was sworn-in as one of the eight members appointed to the peoples Special Majlis by the President.
