Co-ordinator for all-party consultations among delegations from each of the registered political parties in the country has sent invitations to all parties to submit names of representatives for all-party talks in a bid to expedite the reform process.Invitations have been sent to all parties on September 23. Parties have to submit the names of the representatives on or before September 27.
Reports say that the invitations have been sent since the public referendum was concluded on August 18 and also the deadline to complete drafting of the Constitution is set for November 30.
It is hoped that consultations would increase ownership of the reform process by stakeholders from across the political spectrum and would build confidence and to generate consensus on the reform process.
This is another step towards working all parties together to achieve the ongoing reforms in the political atmosphere.
