Jazeera Airways to begin direct flights to Maldives

Jazeera Airways, a private airliner has reported that preparations are underway to begin direct flight operations of the company from Dubai to Male’ international airport starting from October 27. In a special function to announce the new service, Chairman of Jazeera Airways said that Maldives has become one of the most favourite destinations to many tourists.

Therefore, he said that the new services would help to meet the demands of tourists traveling to the Maldives via Dubai. He also noted that Maldivian businessmen are traveling to Middle Eastern countries and that they could make attractive offers for such travelers.

Director General of Maldives Tourism Promotion Board Dr. Abdullah Mausoom also attended the ceremony held in Dubai.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Mausoom said that Jazeera Airways would be flying to Maldives twice a week. He said that it would allow meeting the demands of tourists traveling to Maldives from destinations across Middle East. He also noted that Dubai is a destination that connects to most European airliners and therefore, would provide opportunity for tourists from other countries as well.

Jazeera Airways was established in 2005 and in the past two years, the company has started operating airlines to 20 destinations.
