The Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs has announced tomorrow, September 13, as the first day of the holy month of Ramazan of year 1428 h.
The Majlis made the announcement after the conference held last night at the Islamic Center to confirm the sighting of the moon for the month of Ramazan. After the meeting, the Vice President of the Council Ahmed Farooq Mohamed announced that the today is the 30th of Shauban, and that tomorrow would be the first of Ramazan.
The first of Ramadan, which falls on a Thursday, would also be a public holiday.
