Velidhoo News has learnt that 2 senior employees of the Herethere Resort have been sacked because of their good relations with other Maldivian staff. The two sacked employees are identified as Iyaz, Beverage Manager and Food and Beverage Assistant Manager Mohamed Riyaz.
Many in Addu are shocked at their dismissal especially when the two are qualified with many years of experience in their trade. There have always been complaints among Adduans that Herethere Resorts employs substantial number of foreigners in top level positions.
Velidhoo news blog contacted sacked Riyaz who had previously been an Executive Chef at Paradise Resort to obtain his comment. He told us that the policy of the Herethere Resort is not to employ any Maldivian to any top level position. Iyaz words were also very similar.
Many in Addu have already expressed their dissatisfaction over their dismissal.
velidhoo News Blog was unable to reach any senior level staff of Herethere Resort and any senior officials of MTDC to obtain their comment over the issue.
