Ministry of Foreign Affairs has informed that an EU delegation has arrived Male’ on a 3 day official visit. According to Foreign Ministry, the 8 Members delegation include 5 EU parliamentarians.
Foreign Ministry informed that the delegation was welcomed at the airport by senior members of the Foreign Ministry.
The EU delegation which arrived yesterday morning held talks with top government officials yesterday informs Ministry. In this regard the delegation held discussions with Attorney General Aishath Azima Shukoor, Mohamed Nasheed Minister of Legal Reform, Information and Arts, Minister of Justice Ahmed Muiz Adnan and the speaker of the People’s Majlis Ahmed Zahir. The discussions held separately were on the government’s reform agenda and the ongoing constitutional reform process.
Vice Speaker of the People’s Majlis Ahmed Thasmeen Ali hosted a lunch reception in honor of the visiting delegation at Hulhule Island Hotel.
The delegation yesterday afternoon visited Hulhumale’ and held discussions on the developmental projects carried out by Hulhumale’ Development Corporation. The delegation also toured the island.
