Mohamed Abdu Rauf, H. Hilton who is the father of Aleef Rauf wanted in connection for gang fight had been arrested the previous night. He was arrested when the Police arrested some drug offenders.
News on the Police website said that he was arrested from Alif Dhaalu Atoll Mahibadhoo . Hussain rasheed, 24 years of Gedhamaage/ Raa Maakurathu and Abdullah Shinan, 24 years of Piyaanaage/ Seenu Hithadhoo was arrested along with Mohamed Abdu Rauf. Police website said that these people were arrested on reports that some drug offenders were traveling to that island. They travelled from Male’ and were arrested at about 1945 Hrs with the help of the islanders.
Police suffocated more than 50 packets used to pack drugs along with some equipments used in drugs from Shinan. Something suspected to be drugs was suffocated from Hussain Rasheed. A Bajaj Pulsar black color motor cycle was also with them and there is no more information regarding the cycle. Reporters from Miadhu Daily saw Mohamed Rauf (ganja) driving a black bajaj pulsar on Male’ recently, but it is unsure that it was his cycle which the Police found.
Rauf gave an interview to Miadhu Daily on the 12th of this month regarding his sons. He came to complain regarding news published in this news paper and said that they will not hand over Aleed rauf the Police although Azlif rauf was handed over. Azlif Rauf and Aleef Rauf were wanted by the Police in connection with the violence which followed after the death of Ishar who died when a gang attacked him on the 2nd December.
Reports say that Rauf was arrested even earlier regarding drug offences.
