Miadhu has learnt that the brother of Former Attorney General Hassan Saeed, Hussein Saeed had been expelled from government job. He was the former atoll chief of Addu atoll and a lot of people of Addu Atoll believe that he was the best atoll chief they had ever seen.
After Dr. Hassan resigned from the Cabinet, Hussein Saeed was transferred from Addu atoll to Male’ Atoll chief and Miadhu has Learnt that Hussein Saeed carried out his duty as Male’ atoll chief although he was not satisfied with this change.
A very reliable source informed Miadhu Daily that Hussein Saeed was expelled from government post when he requested that he be transferred to the Education sector.
President’s Office has confirmed the expulsion of Hussein Saeed from his job as the Male’ atoll chief and said that the reason for this was that he requested that he be transferred to his previous job and it was not possible. We were unable to contact atolls ministry on the matter.
A lot of people from Addu atoll were unhappy when Hussein Saeed was to Male’ atoll as he served Addu atoll a lot on its development.
When contacted Hussein Saeed on the matter, he only said that he had been removed from the post of atoll chief.
