Dr. Musaid Al Araby the Chairman of the Saudi Charity Campaign as well as the Advisor to the Interior Minister of Saudi Arabia has met with Maldives Foreign Minister yesterday.
At the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs yesterday evening, Dr. Musaid praised the development efforts Maldives has made in recent years and expressed his happiness over the fact that Maldives has remained a 100% Muslim country for generations. He said that every Maldivian played an important role in maintaining country’s Muslim identity. He further stated that Saudi government will continue to contribute generously to the development of Maldives.
Minister Shahid said speaking at the meeting expressed his happiness at Dr. Musaid’s visit and said because of the visit the brotherly relations between the two countries will improve further. He also thanked the Saudi official for the assistance rendered to the tsunami reconstruction efforts of the country.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed that the visit of Dr. Musaid is inspect the tsunami reconstruction programs going on in the country in particular the programs going on under Saudi funding.
The meeting in addition to Foreign Minister and Dr. Musaid was attended by senior officials of the Ministry as well as by senior officials of the Saudi Charity.
