Member of the Special Majlis Mohamed Nasheed (Colonel) has stated that he is fully confident that they will get the necessary 57 votes required for the formation of the transitional government. Colonel made the statement speaking at the meeting held in Meedhoo of Raa Atoll.

Colonel speaking near the Meedhu School, said that “he is now confident of receiving the 57 votes required to form the transitional government and that his confidence was due to a phone call he just received”. He said that he would like to share the “happy news with the people of the Meedhoo”.

Speaking at the meeting at Baa Atoll Eydhafushi, Colonel said that the Alliance has the support of enough Members needed for the formation of a transitional arrangement. He however said that he would seek to obtain more support as a situation may occur that certain Members may face a situation that would render them being unable to attend the Majlis.

“Instead we want to the people who enjoy ice cream with our family; we want to put at least Rf 4000 in to our pocket on a monthly basis, we want give our elderly at least Rf 2000 and afford something to those unemployed, we want to live a comfortable life” said the main opposition leader Anni.
