Maldives receives APR Outstanding Scout Award

The much coveted APR Outstanding Scout Award was achieved by Ahmed Hassan who completed grade 10 from Majeedhiya School last year. This is the second time the award was achieved by a Maldivian scout. The other 2 scouts who received the award were from Hong Kong and South Korea. Runner up position was achieved by a scout from Philippines.

The names of winners were announced after the Asia Pacific Regional Scout conference held from 18 to 23 of this month in Tokyo.

The awards were given away Chairmen of the Asia Pacific Regional Scout Committee. The awarding ceremony was attended by Senior Officials of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, Senior Officials of Asia Pacific Scout Headquarters and senior Officials of Scout Associations of Asian countries.

Maldivian Scout Association has expressed its delight in receiving the award second time and said that it was an honor for all Maldivian scouts.
