Maldives Police Services MPS is looking for 2 persons believed to be involved in a homicide that occurred near Sinamale’2.
Media Official of MPS reports that the homicide that occurred in Male’ Hiya 2 at around 11.30 yesterday night injured 2 persons.
The 2 injured are currently undergoing medical treatment in Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital, the government run hospital in Male’.
MPS says the homicide is under investigation and declined to provide any further details.
According to information received to Velidhoo News a 22 year old young man was stabbed in twice with a sharp knife and another have severe head injuries.
A family member of the young man who was stabbed told Velidhoo News that his brother was stabbed twice with a sharp knife.
“Yesterday night at around 11.00 near Sinamale’ 2, my brother and his friend had an argument with another group from the neighborhood, then suddenly the group attacked my brother and stabbed him twice, when my brother’s friend tried to stop it he too was attacked and injured his head, then my brother and his friend ran and went in to the house, the group followed them and fighting continued, no body was at the house except my younger brother, when he tried to stop the fighting the group attacked him and injured his neck, my father was away on duty” explained the brother of the 2 who sustained injuries in the fight.
He further detailed the gang who attacked his brothers were armed with sticks and knifes.
