President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom yesterday afternoon offered his encouragement to the national football team, ahead of their World Cup Preliminary round encounter with Yemen.
The President offered his encouragement while speaking over telephone with the National Team’s Manager Mr. Shah Ismail.
Manager Shah Ismail, on behalf of the players and the officials of the National Team, thanked President Gayoom for his gesture, and assured the President that the team would take the field with the collective determination to win the match.
