President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom today visited the three MNDF personnel who were being treated for injuries sustained during a violent confrontation between Security forces and a radical religious group of people on the island of North Ari Atoll Himandhoo.
The President wished them a speedy recovery. He also met and spoke with their family members.
It is reported that a total of 15 Maldivian Defense Force officers sustained varying degrees of injuries in the confrontations with the radical religious group from the island Himandhoo.
