Report: Soodh

Speaking to Miadhu, Media Co-ordinator of Justice Ministry Ibrahim Waheed Ali said that it was clearly stated in the article 24 that any member from the public could file a case to the Civil Court, provided that they deemed unlawful.
Therefore, he clarified the stance of Justice Ministry and said that such cases are most welcome.
Last week, Special Majlis member of Shaviyani Atoll Lubnaa Mohamed Zahir Hussain said that the Civil Court should accept the election related cases from public members following some complaints that the Court is rejecting cases filed by public members.
Justice Ministry did not elaborate on further details whether the Court has deliberately rejected any cases submitted to the Court.
