Dhivehi Rayyithunge Party; DRP, praises the Almighty Allah for the great victory achieved by the Presidential system of the government supported by the Party in yesterday’s nationwide referendum on the future form of government in the Maldives.
The Party congratulates the party faithful and its supporters and all those Maldivians who voted for the Presidential System.
DRP believes the opposition, by attempting to portray this vote as a referendum on the current Presidency, had grossly miscalculated the popularity of the President and the degree to which the people had accepted his Reform Agenda.
DRP also believes that this result is a clear testament of the obvious success of the Reform Agenda of the President which has ensured political debate and the confidence to freely exchange differing points of view, across the political spectrum.
On behalf of the Leader of the Party and the Party Council, and the DRP Parliamentary group, DRP would like to thank all those who participated in the voting, regardless of how they voted, and would especially like to thank those activists and supporters who have worked tirelessly to ensure success of the Presidential System.
DRP calls on all Maldivians to accepts the verdict of the people and to work together to heal the rift so that the Nation can now work together to implement the Reform Agenda of the President, fully and quickly.

ރާއްޖޭގައި އޮންނަން ފެންނަ ވެރިކަމުގެ ނިޒާމެއް ކަނޑައެޅުމަށްޓަކައި އިއްޔެ ، 2007 އޯގަސްޓް 18 ވަނަ ދުވަހު މުޅި ރާއްޖޭގައި ނެގި ޢާއްމު ސިއްރު ވޯޓުގައި ، ދިވެހި ރައްޔިތުންގެ ޕާޓީން ތާއީދު ކުރި ، ރިޔާސީ ނިޒާމަށް މި ލިބުނު ފުރިހަމަ ކާމިޔާބީއަށްޓަކައި މާތް ﷲގެ ޙަޟްރަތަށް ޙަމްދާއި ޝުކުރު ދަންނަވަމެވެ. މިއުފާވެރި ކާމިޔާބީއާ ގުޅިގެން ދިވެހި ރައްޔިތުންގެ ޕާޓީގެ ހުރިހާ މެންބަރުންނަށާއި ، މި މުހިއްމު ވޯޓުގައި ބައިވެރިވެވަޑައިގެންނެވި ހުރިހާ ދިވެހި ރައްޔިތުންނަށް ، ދިވެހި ރައްޔިތުންގެ ޕާޓީގެ ޒަޢީމާއި ޕާޓީގެ ކައުންސިލާއި ، ޕާލަމެންޓްރީ ގްރޫޕުގެ ނަމުގައި ވަރަށް ބޮޑަށް ޝުކުރު ދަންނަވަމެވެ.
މިނެގުނު ޢާއްމު ވޯޓަކީ ، އަދުގެ ރިޔާސަތާބެހޭގޮތުން ނެގުނު ވޯޓެއް ކަމަށް ދައްކަން އިދިކޮޅު ޕާޓީން މަސައްކަތް ކުރުމުގެ ތެރޭގައި ، ރައީސުލްޖުމްހޫރިއްޔާއާއި އެމަނިކުފާނު ހުށައަޅުއްވާފައިވާ އިޞްލާޙީ އެޖެންޑާގެ މަގުބޫލުކަން ރައްޔިތުންނަށް އޮޅުވާލަން މަސައްކަތް ކޮށްފައިވާކަމަށް ދިވެހި ރައްޔިތުންގެ ޕާޓީން ދެކެމެވެ.
ދިވެހި ރައްޔިތުންގެ ޕާޓީން ގަބޫލުކުރާ ގޮތުގައި މިވޯޓުގައި މިޕާޓީން މިހޯދި ނަތީޖާއަކީ ، ރައީސުލްޖުމްހޫރިއްޔާގެ ސިޔާސަތަށް ދިވެހި ރައްޔިތުންގެ ތާއީދު އޮތް މިންވަރާއި ، އެމަނިކުފާނުގެ އިޟްލާޙީ ޕްރޮގުރާމުގެ ކާމިޔާބީއާއި ، ޙިޔާލު ފާޅުކުރުމުގެ މިނިވަންކަން މިއަދު ފުޅާވެފައިވާ މިންވަރާއި ، ރާއްޖޭގެ ސިޔާސީ މަސްރަޙަށް އައިސްފައިވާ ހަލުވި ބަދަލު ދައްކައިދިން ވަރަށް އަލިގަދަ ހެއްކެކެވެ.
އެހެންކަމުން ، މި ޢާންްމު ވޯޓުގައި ބައިވެރިވެވަޑައިގެންނެވި ހުރިހާ ބޭފުޅުންނަށާއި ، ޕާޓީގެ އެކްޓިވިސްޓުންނާށާއި ، ޕާޓީއަށް ތާއީދު ކުރައްވާ ހުރިހާ ބޭފުޅުންނަށާއި ، އަދި ކާމިޔާބު ހޯއްދަވާދެއްވުމުގައި ވަރަށް ބުރަކޮށް މަސައްކަތް ކުރެއްވި އެންމެހާ ބޭފުޅުންނަށް ޕާޓީގެ ޒަޢީމު އަލްއުސްތާޛް މައުމޫން ޢަބްދުލްޤައްޔޫމުގެ ނަންފުޅުގަޔާއި ، ޕާޓީގެ ކައުންސިލް މެންބަރުންގެ ނަންފުޅުގަޔާއި ، އަދި ޕާޓީގެ ޕާލަމެންޓްރީ ގުރޫޕުގެ ނަމުގައި ވަރަށް އިޙްލާޞްތެރިކަމާއެކު ޝުކުރު ދަންނަވަމެވެ.
މިވޯޓުގެ ނަތީޖާ ޤަބޫލުކޮށް ، ރައީސުލްޖުމްހޫރިއްޔާގެ އިސްލާޙީ އެޖެންޑާ ސާބިތުކަމާއި އަދި ހަލުވިކަމާއެކު ފުރިހަމަކުރުމަށްޓަކައި ހުރިހާ ސިޔާސީ ޕާޓީތަކާއި ދިވެހި ރައްޔިތުންގެ ފުރިހަމަ އެއްބާރުލެއްވުމަށް މިފުރުޞަތުގައި މިޕާޓީން ގޮވާލަމެވެ
