Registrar general of MSDP resigns

22 August 2007

Report: Soodh

Hussein Hassaan, interim registrar general of Maldivian Social Democratic Party, has said that he had resigned from the party.

He told Velidhoo Community that he resigned from the party as there have been conflicts between him and the President Of the party Ibrahim Manik (Reeko).

The present registrar of the party Mohamed Nabeel confirmed the report yesterday.

However Nabeel told Velidhoo Community that the party received Hassaan’s contributions before the party was officially registered in the country.

Nabeel also accused Hassaan of misappropriating from the party’s assets.

According to Hassaan he did not dispossess anything from the party.
