Ministry of home affairs has assured voters that they will cast votes today freely without intimidation or violence.
In a press statement issued yesterday the ministry said “Every eligible voter is assured that the citizen shall exercise the right to vote with calm and without intimidation. The voter will choose between the two systems of government that is best for her without any undue influence” said the statement.
According to the statement the ministry decided to guarantee calm and peace for the voters as there had been crises in earlier polls.
The statement further said that neither government institutions nor private parties will be able to influence the referendum.
Hitherto over the past several decades there had been no fatalities in the country directly related to election crises.
