Further to DRP’s press release earlier today, DRP observes that no action has been taken by the local authorities to rectify the tension all over the Maldives due to intimidation by supporters of the parliamentary system. As a result a large number of supporters of the presidential system continue to suffer injuries.
DRP is deeply concerned over the lack of law enforcement in such a crucial and historical vote where the people will decide the system of governance and yet there are so many supporters of the presidential system unable to express their choice.
