DRP thanks the party faithful and all the supporters of the Presidential system


As ballot boxes are being closed around the country, and the counting process begins, Dhivehi Rayyithunge Party, DRP, would like to express its deep gratitude and appreciation to the party faithful and the activists who have worked tirelessly to campaign for the Presidential System.

We would also like to include members, supporters and activists of the three other political parties who have also worked to promote and campaigned for the Presidential System.

We would like to make special note of those supporters who, in spite of the wide spread intimidation and harassment, stood up for what they believed and exercised their right to vote.

DRP believes that we have won this referendum handsomely and looks forward to contesting the next National Campaigns under a Presidential System.
