President Gayoom’s cabinet yesterday discussed the assignment of the development of five new regional airports and associated hotel resorts to a consortium of three State-owned companies.
According to President’s Office, on the 14th of June this year, the cabinet had advised President Gayoom to assign the development of five of the newly planned regional airports and associated hotel resorts to a consortium of three State-owned companies, namely the Maldives Airports Company Limited, Island Aviation Services Limited and Maldives Transport and Contracting Company.
At the meeting held yesterday, members of the cabinet reviewed the progress so far and discussed measures for further development of the project.
In yesterday’s meeting, Gayoom welcomed the two new Ministers, Mr. Abdulla Shahid and Mr. Mohamed Muiz Adnan to the cabinet and expressed that their contribution will enrich and strengthen the cabinet.Report: Velidhoo Community
