PRESS RELEASE
DRP condemns in the strongest terms the widespread intimidation by supporters of the parliamentary system across the country.
The Opposition members are intimidating supporters of the presidential system on the streets and near ballot boxes.
DRP has photographic evidence of these statements and witnesses to attest to these incidences and will be happy to make them available as first hand accounts.
DRP calls upon all local authorities including the Commissioner of Elections and the Commissioner of Police to take immediate steps to stop these intimidations and also calls upon the international media for their assistance to ensure that the presidential system voters too get equal rights to express their political view and exercise their right to vote.
