Lots of people have demanded from Justice Minister Mohamed Jameel Ahmed who resigned for a public apology yesterday. Uz Jameel filed his resignation from Ministerial portfolio yesterday afternoon and his resignation was subsequently accepted by the President. Uz Jameel announced his resignation at a press conference at Dharubaaruge.
Many people welcomed his resignation, but expressed their feelings saying that he must make a public apology for the way some of the judicial cases were undertaken during his time.
Some people say that Uz Jameel must apologize in the same manner he confirmed and announced his resignation.
Lots of people have expressed their dissatisfaction about his attitude following the walk-out from the public debate organized by Haveeru daily the previous night.
At a joint press conference held at 3:30pm at Dharubaaruge, yesterday, Attorney General Dr. Hassan Saeed and Justice Minister Uz Mohamed Jameel Ahmed said that they were resigning from their posts because they were not satisfied with the progress of the Reform Agenda proposed by the President.
