Lieutenant General (Rtd) Abdu Satar Adam Ambaree, Maldivian High Commissioner in India, has held a meeting with Shri Somnath Chatterjee, speaker of Lok Sabha.
Ambaree in the meeting delivered a letter from Ahmed Zahir, speaker of general assembly, to Chatterjee. The letter was related to the formation of Maldives-India Parliamentary Friendship Group.
Reports say that the two men discussed about the works of Lok Sabha and Majlis.
Chatterjee reportedly in the meeting promised to assist strengthen the works and functions of the Majlis in Maldives.
