Resignation of Ministers a big loss to government – opposition

Opposition parties say that the resignation of Attorney General Dr. Hassan Saeed and Justice Minister Uz Mohamed Jameel Ahmed from the cabinet was a big loss to the government.

The main opposition party, MDP’s spokesperson said that the resignation is a big loss for the current government. She said the resignation reveals lot of fact behind the curtain. She also said that it shows that the government has already failed when the two members of the cabinet have said that the Reform Agenda has failed.

Vice President of Islamic Democratic Party (IDP) said that the resignation of Dr. saeed and Uz. Jameel demonstrate the weakness of the government. “It is almost the same as two pillars of a building is fallen. That is what will be happen with the government. It is very difficult to digest that they have resign.”

Adhaalath party’s spokesperson said the resignation of high profile members from the government in a period like this will affect a lot on the government. He describes the resignation as a sacrifice by them for the people of the country.

“Jameel has done a lot to improve the judiciary. Our party requests the current government officials to resign from their posts for the people of the country. The two members who resigned set an example for the others. Their resignation caused the government’s failure.”

The two young and well educated members of cabinet resigned saying that the reason behind it is the difficulty caused by the government in performing their duties, the announcement of the President that he would run for another term when the Reform Agenda has already failed and also because the government is not putting effort for the reform process. President has said that their talks are baseless and lots of developments have been made in the reform process.
