Salah case pending for HRC report – Lawyer

Husain Salaah’s lawyer Uz Husnu al Suood has said that the case will be sent to the court again once the Human Rights Commission’s report is released.

Husnu al Suood said that the Commission is investigating the case because they also have enough evidences that the case is unusual. Uz Suood said that the case will be re-submitted to the court after studying the HRC report.

Human Rights Commission said that the investigation process has come close to its conclusion. Hussain Salaah of Seenu Hithadhoo Naazukeege was found dead in the southern harbour of Male’ on 15 April 2007.

According to the HRC, now they are getting the opinion of foreign expertise. HRC also said that the Toxicology report from Sri Lanka is also a vital document in completing the report.

According to HRC, it will make the report available for the public when it is concluded. Uz Suood said that the family of Hussain Salaah will take every possible measure to find out what is behind Mr. Salaah’s death.

The report of Colombo Judicial Medical Officer says that the reason for Salaah’s death was drowning.
